Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Docings collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and our Android and iOS apps (together, the “Service”).

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Who we are

Docings (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a resume and invoice builder operated by XrossApps. You can reach us any time at hello@xrossapps.com. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information under this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the Service:

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. If you register with email and password, authentication is handled by Google Firebase and we never see or store your raw password.

Content you create

  • Resume data you enter — such as your name, contact details (email, phone, location, website), professional summary, work experience, education, skills, projects, certifications, and any optional profile photo you upload.
  • Invoice data — your business details, your clients’ details, line items, amounts, and notes.
  • Job applications you choose to track — company, role, status, and related notes.

Usage and device information

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Service is used. This may include app and device identifiers, device model and operating system, app version, approximate (non-precise) location inferred from IP address, and in-app events (for example, which screens are opened). We also receive diagnostic and crash information to keep the app stable. We do not collect your precise GPS location.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and secure your account and the Service.
  • To save your resumes, invoices, and application data so you can access them across devices.
  • To generate the public links you explicitly choose to share, and to produce PDF, DOCX, and text exports you request.
  • To analyze usage and diagnose problems so we can improve performance, reliability, and features.
  • To communicate with you about your account or respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content to train AI models or share it with recruiters.

4. How your information is stored and shared

Your content is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication) on Google’s infrastructure. We rely on the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, and analytics.
  • Google Sign-In — optional authentication provider.

You can read Google’s privacy practices in the Google Privacy Policy.

Public share links. If you publish a resume or invoice, that document becomes accessible to anyone who has the link until you unpublish it. Only you can create or remove these links.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your resumes, resume versions, invoices, tracked applications, published share links, and profile data. Backups and analytics logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app:

  • Access and edit your data at any time from your resumes and invoices.
  • Export your resumes as PDF, DOCX, or text.
  • Delete your account and all associated data from the Delete account page.

To make any other request regarding your data, email us at hello@xrossapps.com.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and protected by Firebase’s server-side security rules so that only you can read or write your own account data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry standard safeguards.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice within the Service.
